Patrick Beatt FILSA

Patrick was born and brought up in Dorset, attending Fosters Grammar School in Sherborne before going to London University to read Applied Biology.

First steps in the Licensed Trade were as a Brewery Technician with Courage Eastern at the Tower Bridge Brewery in 1979. A move into the retail sector in 1981, still with Courage, at the Enfield regional office, saw him training as a Stocktaker within the Managed Houses division.

A return to Dorset in 1988 was possible when regional brewer Eldridge Pope were recruiting for a  Managed House Stock Auditor.

In 1995 Patrick joined the Institute of Licensed Trade Stock Auditors as a Member and sat the entrance examinations that year. He was elevated to Fellow in 2013.

Patrick remained with Eldridge Pope until 2003 when he joined an independent Stock Audit company based in Weymouth.

When not at work Patrick is a keen yachtsman, holding a professional skipper qualification, he enjoys kayaking, paddle boarding and most forms of water sport as well as mountain walking and cycling.

He is married to Lucy and they have four grown up children.
